Normally, miniature DC compressors are used in mobile refrigeration systems. DC power is produced by batteries, car charging, solar panels, or an AC inverter power supply. MOIR compressors are available for 12V, 24V, and 48V power supply.

 Yes. The mini BLDC compressor max. surface temperature should be controlled within 120°C.

The compressor has undergone rigorous reliability testing in ambient temperatures reaching a maximum of 55°C (1131°F). The utmost priority is to ensure that both the compressor’s discharge and shell temperatures stay below 120°C (248°F). This objective can be effectively achieved through active cooling techniques. Furthermore, the controller’s thermal shut-off mechanism is activated whenever the module temperature reaches 100°C (212°F). This potential scenario can also be prevented or mitigated by utilizing active cooling methods.

There is no any mechanical concerns with running the direct current compressors at full speed, as its mechanism has been thoroughly validated to ensure reliability.

MOIR’s BLDC inverter miniature rotary compressor is capable of operating at max. condensing temperature up to 70°C (158°F) for air conditioning/HBP applications. 
 
Nevertheless, it’s crucial to acknowledge that such conditons will have an impact on the compressor’s performance. If the heatsink temperature surpasses 100°C(212°F), the motor controller will automatically shut down the motor to prevent damange. 
 
Additionally, it’s essential to ensure that the compressor housing temperature remains below 120°C (248°F) to safeguard the compressor motor. Elevated condensing temperatures can lead to an increase in housing temperature, and it’s crucial to adhere to the maximum compression ratio of 6:1 to avoid any issues.
 
Please note that operating the compressor/controller under these conditions falls outside our published operating parameters, and we will not provide a warranty for such usage. 

The refrigerant recharge must be from the high pressure end (condenser side).

Only high purity (above 99.9% or above 99.95% if possible) HFC-134a be allowed

The drive board in MOIR cooling module is a variable speed drive. It allows the cooling capacity of the system to be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the compressor speed. The compressor drive board utilizes a user supplied 0-5VDC analog signal to set the compressor speed.
